The new switch mode GEN range of power supplies has been specifically designed to provide a comprehensive range for engineers designing intruder alarm systems to Grade 2 and Grade 3 under PD6662:2010 EN50131-6:2008.
Both grades of product are available in two power variants with a range of enclosure sizes providing the required space for the standby battery. Two LED's assist with quick and easy installation by showing presence of mains, correct battery charging or a fault condition, whilst fault outputs are available to relay this information back to the intruder panel. Each PSU incorporates intelligent battery management comprising of full load battery testing, low battery voltage detection and deep discharge protection. PSU protection is builit-in as standard including mains transient filtering, electronic output overload protectionand fuses on the load and battery outputs.
